WHY DO YOU USE A CO-WORKING SPACE?
After working from home for 10 years I needed a change. I yearned for contact with other like-minded creatives and a chance to brainstorm ideas and discuss other ways of doing things. I'm always looking for fresh inspiration and collaborating on projects.

WHATS YOUR BUSINESS? 
No business yet so I'll just tell you about me. I graduated from the University of Canberra with a Bachelors of Industrial Design. Six months later, I moved to New York City in the summer of 2000 after landing an industrial design internship with Smart Design NYC. I had the opportunity of working with clients such as OXO International, Hewlett Packard, Lego, Schick and Bic, to name a few. My current focus is on designing for social impact. My next project will focus on a program for low income housing kids where I will use my design process to help keep kids off the street.

Communities in need of innovative "right brain" solutions to overcome social challenges.
WHY DO YOU USE A CO-WORKING SPACE? 
While on medical leave for 3 months, I needed a space to work on some personal projects. It has helped my productivity levels and allowed me to meet new people.

I found CO-WORKA after 2 years working at home got too much for me. CO-WORKA allows me to socialize with other business-minded people in a face to face environment. It also allows us to leverage each others skill sets, which is great. It is local to where I live which is another great benefit.

 I use CO-WORKA at Dee Why because I found working from home to be far too isolated. I missed the daily interaction with other people. CO-WORKA has given me a place to go to "work" each day, it has helped create more balance in my work/life mix. It has given me an immediate support network during the stressful times of running a small business as well as friends to help celebrate the wins!
